The Borg Cube is the iconic starship used by the Borg Collective, an incredibly powerful spacefaring weapon of terrifyingly simple design. Over three kilometers long on each edge, these massive starships were capable of self-repair and could adapt to enemy weaponry, allowing the Borg to invade and assimilate countless species.
The design used here is the Borg Cube from Star Trek: First Contact, but the Borg were first encountered in ‘Q Who’, when the titular Q entity hurled the U.S.S. Enterprise-D into the path of a Borg Cube. The Enterprise’s shields and weapons were powerless against the juggernaut, and even escape proved impossible – only Q’s intervention allowed the Enterprise to survive, as a warning of the terrible, relentless foe to come.
The Borg Cube has been painstakingly recreated in die-cast and high-quality ABS materials then handpainted with an incredible level of detail capturing the Borg patterns on every side with green energy signatures shining out from within.
